After a law enforcement suicide, impacted coworkers (both sworn and non-sworn) are left with questions, thoughts, emotions, and challenges that are not always easy to make sense of. At the SBS Coworkers Retreat, you will spend the weekend interacting with, receiving support from and bonding with others who have experienced a similar tragedy.
This retreat is a safe place to connect with other coworkers, the SBS staff and the Wellness Support Team. Facilitated conversations, interactive educational sessions and recreational activities will help you with the challenges faced in the wake of a suicide and encourage continued support beyond the retreat.
After the retreat, you will have an increased sense of self-awareness, personal growth, better understanding of suicide & its impact on survivors, and tools to help you navigate the aftermath of a coworker’s suicide.
Attendance at this retreat is strictly confidential, and participant names are not shared.
